Instructions and Help about Form 990 (Schedule M)

Hello, I'm Susan Woods, and welcome to the "How to File IRS Form 990 Annual Information Returns" online class. I'm so glad that you have taken the time out of your busy schedule to learn about this very important process. Before we get started, though, I would like to share a little bit more information about myself. Okay, my name is Susan Woods, and I am celebrating 11 years of sharing information regarding the nonprofit sector. Specifically, I started a nonprofit organization called Comprehensive Community-Based Solutions in 2003. Initially, I started it as a nonprofit organization without the official 501c3 status, and I'll tell you more about that later. Underneath that nonprofit organizational structure, I offer two programs. Through Panorama Computer Learning, I travel to different churches, libraries, and conference centers, bringing along my laptop computers to set up and teach hands-on Microsoft Office classes, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. This enables them to gain the skills they need to pursue other career opportunities. The second program offered under Comprehensive Community-Based Solutions is the Emergent Leaders Mentorship Program for black male youth between the ages of 10 and 18. This program provides guidance, speakers, field trips, and a specially designed curriculum for this target group. It was an excellent program that we operated for five years. In addition to these programs, I provide nonprofit consulting services and complete the 501c3 application packet for private clients who want to start a nonprofit organization but may not understand how...
